Named for the rainbow bridge connecting heaven and earth
in Norse mythology, this recreational sculling shell is patterned after
a racing sea kayak to provide a boat that can handle somewahet rough water
yet remains fast. It is designed be rowed by either one or two people simply
by removing one rowing rig and moving the remaining rig to the center position.
If one person wants to row while another rides along in leisure, simply
remove one rig. This boat is easily handled by one person. Both bow and
stern are sealed water tight compartments with 6-inch screw-in inspection/access
hatches. Fits rowing rigs from Alden, Piantedosi, or the Virus sliding rigger
that we carry. The sliding rigger eliminates the pitching adn acceleration/decelleration
that is a problem with traditional sliding seat rigs. |
